And it is bound to be a huge blockbuster. The film is based on the Marvel Comics character, which was created by Stan Lee, Larry Lieber, and Jack Kirby. It is inspired by the god of the same name of the Norse mythology. This is going to be the first that the god of thunder will be seen on the big screen. They are mix of previously released materials as well as new ones. They all look pretty spectacular and majestic. It also promises to be action-filled, with mixes of romance between the god of thunder and a mortal being.
The stills and posters are amazing as they also feature the great and talented cast that have all signed to appear in the flick, which is why a lot of fanboys are excited to watch Thor 2011 online. Holding on to the mythical Mjolnir is Chris Hemsworth, a relatively unknown the Australian actor in the US. Oscar winners Anthony Hopkins and Natalie Portman will also star in the move. Hopkins will play Odin, the ruthless father of Thor and the ruler of Asgard, while Portman will play the love interest of Thor, Jane Foster. The other cast members include Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Stella Skarsgaard as Erik Selvig, Kat Dennings as Darcy, Renee Russo as Frigga, and Idris Elba as Heimdall. The movie is directed by Kenneth Branagh, a four-time Academy Award nominee. It is set to hit theaters this May 6.
